Description:   This project is located in a very busy business area where it is possible to find many restaurants . There is , therefore, a strong competition for exposure. Our approach here was in fact, to do exactly the opposite as a normal restaurant her would do, which is to show as much as possible to the street. The interest in our office, was to actually conceal the space as you walk on the street, letting you see the side of it as some kind of abstract monolith cladded in sealed white wood planks and framed by steel I beams around it. It was our intention to produce estrangement as you approach and then expose the space as some kind of fish tank with all the vibrant interior life. We exacerbated this effect by placing a sky light right behind so the amount of light inside will be the same as out side, really creating the impression of this trees-flanked street continued inside too.
